Below are the profiles of the coaching team at Grafton Tennis Centre. Please contact the coach directly for further information on individual/shared lessons. All prices are for a 60 minute lesson and any additional players an extra £5 is incurred. If the player cancels up to 24 hours before the lesson, full amount of the lesson will be charged. Head Coach
Alex Kaminski
Alex has been tennis coaching for 20 years at many different venues across London including the Hurlingham Club and Southwark City Tennis Club. Alex is a Level 5 LTA Master Club Coach and during his coaching career he has worked with a vast range of ages and abilities from beginner through to regional level players. He has a real passion for improvement for every ability and takes great care of his players in every session.

James Cornish
Club Coach
James is a licensed LTA Level 2 coach and has been involved in tennis for 30 years as a player and now as a coach. James's enthusiasm for tennis is infectious and works with beginner and improver level players at Grafton. James also runs cardio tennis at Grafton and is always looking for different ways to improve his players so they can perform to their potential.

Club Coach
Steve Dean
Steve is a licensed LTA Level 3 coach, formerly running the tennis programme at Tooting Bec Common. He coaches all age groups, from tiny tots through to adult team players. He delivers our weekend intermediate group lessons to members at Grafton.

Club Coach
Tyrone Jordan
Tyrone has been coaching for over 30 years, 21 of those were spent at the Hurlingham club where he built the coaching programme from scratch. He has worked with many ATP and WTA players and has developed juniors into full time players. In addition Tyrone has vast experience in working with beginners all the way through to a high club level.

Hitter
Jay Johnson-Hauldren
Jay started playing tennis at the Grafton when he was five years old. At 13, he won the Grafton Men’s Championship. Jay has competed in Junior International Tennis Federation (ITF) tournaments worldwide and has achieved a career-high world ranking of 248. He won the 18U Junior Nationals Doubles Championship with his partner, Rhys Lawlor, earning a wildcard into the Junior Wimbledon Doubles 2024.
Jay has also played singles at the Junior Wimbledon Qualifiers and has competed in international tournaments across Europe, South Africa, and the Dominican Republic, securing wins against junior players ranked in the world’s top 50.
Now, as an adult, Jay is transitioning to men’s professional tournaments. He is also beginning his tennis coaching qualifications and is offering hitting sessions at Grafton for anyone looking to improve their game or get tips on winning the club championships!

Crystal Sutar
Club Coach
Crystal started playing tennis at the age of 7. She fell in love with the game and it became clear she had genuine talent. Having spent time abroad training, Crystal has competed at ITF level events. Today she is a level 2 coach and works to further develop as a coach while still keeping up with her training as a competitor herself. Crystal provides group sessions for juniors of all abilities and private lessons to all club players.

Paul Balden
Club Coach
Paul has been immersed in tennis for over 35 years, building a lifetime of experience on the court. He began coaching out of a genuine desire to communicate his passion for the sport, motivated by the wish to share his enthusiasm with players of all ages, backgrounds and abilities. Driven by the belief that players perform best when having fun, Paul actively creates a positive environment where improvement and enjoyment go hand in hand, helping each player reach their fullest potential through a balanced approach that values skill, fitness, and the sheer joy of playing tennis.
Available Mondays-Tuesdays-Thursdays 8am-5pm, Wednesdays mornings, Saturday and Sunday afternoons upon request

Racket Stringing
We provide a professional racket stringing service and aim to complete your restring as soon as possible.
Alex Kaminski is a UKRSA accredited stringer ready to service your every stringing need!
Prices vary depending on the type of string being used and whether you have your own string to provide.
£16 when providing your own string.
£27 for entry level polyester and synthetic strings.
£30 for premium polyester and multifilament strings.
£35 for high end premium strings.
